Well, all I can do is look at the photos....
Saddened, as the photos look heavy and thick. This may not be the case - but that's what I see.

I had a chance to visit Albion this week. It was good to catch up.
Howy asked me to stop in and give Buck some tips. I have to say I am impressed with his commitment and attention to detail. He has only been doing this a month, and already he is making some quality scabbards. He will only get better as he goes. Buck has a background in leather work, so he is taking to this scabbard craft quite well!
So, these scabbards are a good deal.

Absolutely not! He is utilizing hardwood plywood to replicate cores that have multiple layers of thin wood glued together. This is something you seen on period originals. The core is very thin but sturdy.

Well, sounds great... could someone take a couple of photos that might illustrate this?
Eric, the work may be stunning... but people will look at the photos (what is advertised) - and the PHOTOS sort of show Tuna Boats  . I believe you - but someone needs to get out their camera and show what you have described. Especially when someone has put his heart and soul into a good product .

They look pretty nice, like a good, cheaper alternative to a few of the makers out there.
