Hi there ! I need a specifick information about a sword from the Royal Armouries (IX1084) classified by Oakeshott as type XVI a because of the longer grip . I want to ask for a help with some information . I search for the thickness of the blade at the crossguard, also at 1/3, 2/3 and 20 mm from the point of the blade. Also I need the blade cross-section . I will be greatfull for the help .

Have you contact the Armouries re this?
Currently working on projects ranging from Elizabethan pageants to a WW1 Tank, Victorian fairgrounds 1066 events and more. Oh and we joust loads!.. We run over 250 events for English Heritage each year plus many others for Historic Royal Palaces, Historic Scotland, the National Trust and more.
