Anybody know what type of spear this is? i looked at an old chart (a chart that is barely legible due to aging) and it looks like either a "Spiess" or "Friahle"

Looks like a form of ranseur to me...

A "Spiess" is just a spear of any kind in German, so it's definitely not the term you're looking for. Moreover, since the image shown is obviously from a fantasy game, it may not necessarily be intended to represent any category of historical weaponry. The closest thing we have (as Phil said) would be some form of ranseur or corseque like the ones shown here:
