K.u.k. Freiwilligen Automobilkorps sword
Hello everyone,

I've recently inherited a First World War epee style sword belonging to a member of the Austro-Hungarian volunteer auto mobile corps. From what I can gather, this was a volunteer unit formed in the early 20th of men who owned private automobiles. I believe it was meant to alleviate some of the shortage of motor vehicles in the military, driving officers around etc.

The only markings I have seen on the sword are on the hilt:
K.K. OESTER. FR. AUTO-KORPS.

Does anyone have any more information on this sword or its value?

I'm sorry to say that I do not know anything about the sword, but that is extremely interesting. Even the info you have about it now makes it very unique. I can read some German so ill get back to you when I have something!
