HI forumites

I had an interest about locking gauntlets after learning about this piece here dated around 1540 http://www.hrp.org.uk/Assets/Henry%20and%20th...asset).jpg

However i was wondering when the first gauntlets in this style started to be used in tournaments.

I have seen some of the eastern european fighters in the Battle of the nations using some examples with late 14th early 15th armours and was wondering if they existed that far back.
