I have not seen this, but given the topic, I thought many of you might be interested. It just came up on iTunes. Some of the arms/armour look quite good!

Interesting, thanks! I like how it takes place in the 16th century and features Occitan dialogue, though I'm a bit wary because of the back-slung medieval-looking sword.

Seen the movie in the theatre, and it's now around the web since it's release from bluray.

It's decent, but be aware that the focus is very much on story and characters, the pace is slow and borderline boring...and I thought little of the arms and armor featured in the movie.

Kohlhaas sports a strangely hilted bastard sword with a pommel that could pass for adequate, but with a horrid bulky guard that seems completely out of place for the period. The sword is of course mostly worn on the back, braveheart style.

The story itself is fascinating, the story of a horse merchant who's faced with arbitrary injustice from former feudal times, and who renounces everything and burns half the country to claim his right. I would definitely recommend reading the novel from Heinrich von Kleist.
