Date/location of this ballock dagger?
In another thread, Leo "Tod" Todeschini posted this pic:

Anyone know where this dagger is housed? To what period does it date? Does anyone have any more pics of it?

Thanks!
I believe it's in the Musee de l'Armee in Paris, accession number JPO 1133, listed as being German or Flemish, 1480-1500.

I've attached photos of two similar daggers as well, one from the same museum, and one sold by Bonhams.

These are beautiful. Not just the decorative plates, but the dramatic flair of the grips compared to available reproductions. A reproduction Ballock dagger with that style of handle would be irresistible. But I have not seen one like that......

Here's a bit more information about this dagger. The information is mostly in French though.

Mark and Danny-
Thank you for the great information. I had not seen some of the daggers posted here and the new photos of the original dagger in question are really welcome! Nicely done.
I would consider an earlier date +- 1450 more likely.
