You are probably aware of these bits of wisdom for combat areas, however ...... Keep your ass and head so low that your buttons get in the way. Be aware of your surroundings at all times as complacency is a soldier's worst enemy.
Many years ago, I had a DI tell me that the only incoming stuff to really worry about was that big sucker that comes whistling though addressed to "Whom It May Concern"
Take care of yourself!
Regards
Dan

Again, thanks for all your well-wishes, my friends.
It was a hell of a run, but I finally finished the final commissions of Crusader Monk before deploying. When I announced my deployment, I had around 18 pieces in the shoppe. As of today, everything is finished and on it's way home. I ending my production run with these two ATrim daggers. These things arrived here in pieces, as they were originally two separate pieces of a broken ATrim sword. They have been repurposed into two very unique daggers. The first is a leaf blade given a very LOTR feel with hilt antiquing. The other is a Type XVish blade for a very practical battle dagger. Both are in matching brown antique scabbards with steel chapes.
I sincerely thank you for your support and your business. I look forward to serving you again in the future! Until next time!

I love that top one! To my mind, when I read "The Hobbit" that's what Sting looks like

Good luck and stay safe, JE!
As all of us, I'm looking forward to your return and new briliant works!
As this wouldn't be your first deployment, I'm not gonna give you advise from my experience in combat zones. Just keep your head low.
