Pat Thaden addition
Well it's done. The rest of the harness is still in process and will be for a while.

Have never done this, so we'll see if I can attach a pic.

16 gauge steel, tempered spring. Repose. Solid silver 99.9% fine as seen.

I saw that on one of the armour forums. That is really impressive work! I love Patrick Thaden's artistry, he really is one of the big guys in the armour world.

I bet you're right. But I like this one better!

Neat!
saw this on the armour boards too. . .

it takes some stones these days to put real silver on a piece of armor one intends to wear. as was said before, this piece is beautiful.

in particular, i thought the wrought iron helmet stand was a subtle but nice touch :)
Beautiful Helm
That helm is simply breathtaking. Envy get thee behind me! I have never seen anything quite so beautiful on the armor sites i visit. How do I get hold of the maker?
Daniel Holayter
I have to post again and say how much I love this helmet. It has such a warm organic feel to it, and it evokes the period that I love the most.

Man this is neat!
I can't wait to see the rest of the harness. . .
Veeery nice! I like the subdued looks of that piece.

All i can say is, more pictures :D
Here is Patrick's website:

http://www.thadenarmory.com/

He is truly a "phenominal metal artisan". I cannot put it into any other words. He is Rapheal and metal is his canvas. In an interesting twist of fate, he is also one of the nicest and most genuine people that I have ever had the opportunity to converse with. One of those unique individual in the professional armour community that you can truly trust with all aspects of your project.
Well, Thank you all for the kind words. It has been a fun and interesting piece to work on. Perry Goss has got some neat ideas on the rest of things so it should be fun getting into those. I am pretty easy to get in touch with, the best way being email. You can call as well though I don't always catch the phone due to making noise in the shop. One correction though, the silver is actually sterling putting it at 92.5% making it a little bit more durable than fine silver. Let me know if anyone has any additional questions. If you go to this link there are other pics including pictures I took during the construction of the piece so Perry could see it as it was being made. Thanks. :D

On a side note, I do go by Patrick, not Pat
