Testing out a new technique with new gloves on

Trying to do some tactical cuts with full armor on. The cuts didn't do super well but were ok. They were too small for this sword. They're better suited for my upcoming DS 2.0.
Was the armor binding you up a bit, because it looked like you were pulling your strikes a bit.

The armor didn't pull my strikes. I pulled the strikes to keep it in context of my sparring execution.

I like to call my test cuts as "tactical test cuts".... like those "tactical shooting". For example, in the first video done with gloves, it depicted a smack followed by a cut that remove the opponent's weapon from my advancing pathway. The second video with armor depicted a vertical cut and then horizontal cut, while the second cut was a diagonal, then another diagonal, which was aimed to remove the opponent's weapon with the first cut and hit his forearm with the second one.

These techniques were field tested in freestyle sparring and have very good results. I know they were not meant to be "fight-ender". Still, if my sword was a bit lighter, the acceleration would be better. I've ordered a DS2.0 sharp and blunt pair from Longship armoury. It'll serve my current tactics better. :)

Test cutting an almost free standing bamboo, tied to the PVC with strings only.
