waiting gor my first Albion
2 days ago , I have purchased my first Albion, It's a Hospitaller , can't wait to get it and play around with it. I have been a collector for about 6 months now , and finally decided to get a serious sword. Anyone has any opinions on a Hospitaller ?
haven't got an opinion, but please post pic soon. then i will give my opinion.
I have the sword and it is a pleasure to handle. Good Crusader sword. Does not feel heavy at all but not as light feeling as the Ritter.
A little ahead of my time period, I have most of their 'vking' stuff and love each one.

The white box is going to make you very happy, lol.

Indeed. Though I must admit it took me a while to develop a full appreciation for my first Albion (I was a bit of a Philistine back then!) but each subsequent white box has been quite an experience! And that first one? In my case, a Gallowglass, and now I absolutely love it: an astonishing piece of workmanship. :)
oddly enough if you google earth my house and look at the front door, there is a white box in side the storm glass, LOL

go figure.

Seriously the only Albion I did not like was their gaddhjalt because it bet in to my wrists. I think I have twelve of them now.
I've got a Hospitaller (it was the first Albion sword I got), and I'm quite pleased with it. It handles quite nicely, and Albion's swords are well-constructed.
I have a Hanwei Cawood sword , which I am very happy with , but I suspect I'll notice the difference between the two lol.

Yep , will do. Although I am in Australia , might be a while by the time I get it lol.
I go mine just a day ago which was the Reeve, I much prefer it to my old Hanwei Tinker Norman. Doesn't have the bending into wrist problem the Norman had. It handles a lot better than it too no "awkward" or "clunkyness" that cheaper swords have. Still have to get a scabbard for it though.
I like the scabbard that came with the Cawood, its got that nice light brown leather look to it. I like how the Cawood handles its very manuverable.
today I decided to try and do some cutting. I filled up a empty plastic bottle and had a go with the Cawood, it was great , when it worked . Took me about 3 times to have a clean swipe at it. LOL
Recieved my Hospitaller today , what a sword !!!

Congrats! I had the same reaction when I received my first Albion. It exceeded my expectations and I instantly fell in love with it.

Please post pictures if you can. The Hospitaller is one of those models that does not seem to be photographed and posted to the net as often as others, probably just one of Albion's less popular models would be my guess. I really like the looks of it though.
I'll second this, I like it, but there really isn't much pics of it online...
Hospitaller, excuse the background :)

Nice!

I really like your display, the baby blanket brings out the clean lines of the sword.

In all seriousness I do like the clean lines of the sword and I am very curious about your first impressions. Albion swords are really well made and a lot of thought and effort goes in to them.
