Hello:
I was wondering if anyone has evaluated, or have any opinions about, the Deepeeka Venetian war hammer. I think this is a new product. It looks like fun.
Just wondering guys. Thanks!

Hello there,
I had recently received this pole axe from Kult of Athena and my overall impression is very good
I was thinking ( hoping) the head would be a little bit wider, but it is a rather small hammer head...
The length of head from hammer to back spike is 6 1/4'', which is document-able. The construction is done fairly well for it being $120 and it weighs next to nothing.
I wanted something that was functional, yet historically correct and I feel that this was spot on. The size of the head still hasn't grown on me, but that might change when I start swinging it around all day and not need a break
Hope this helps!

That looks about right to me. Most of the originals I've seen have very small hammer faces. The idea is to be nimble and concentrate force, after all.
Thanks for the pics, I'm thinking I might want to pick up one myself.
