This listing has been REMOVED and is no longer active
Hi,
I'm selling my Mark Vickers harness in order to pay for other living history gear.
Asking £2,500 OBO. More pics taken upon request, just east of Nottingham for anyone wishing to try it on.
It's a few years old now but has not been worn more than a few times a year. It has mainly been used in WMA demos and choreographed fights, never in any re-enactment battles, never hammered or battered in a bill line etc. There are some discolorations from corrosion and some small corroded patches, nothing some tlc won't sort out though.
It's all for sale EXCEPT for the sallet and bevor, which I'm keeping.
For size, I'm 6'1" and fairly slim built (except a fine middle age spread!), the cuirass is bow fronted and a little wide on me so would probably take a fuller figure. Likewise the cuisses and greaves are a little wide on me, I have always worn strips of wool at the knees and been fine.
It is made from 16ga steel., closed upper and lower cannons, great Vickers detail. In a Milanese export style with Germanic arms, Italian leg and cuirass, fingered gothic gauntlets (with finger leathers that could do with being attached to a new gauntlet).
I would prefer to sell it as a whole, but may consider selling it piecemeal if necessary.
Cheers
