Chainmaille 6-in-1 Sleeves
I am currently making a 6-in-1 full hauberk. I have finished all but the sleeves. I am having a difficult time finding a pattern that tapers the sleeves while still providing enough movement to be functional in a combat situation. Please help!
Since this is the Historical Arms board, I must point out that there is zero evidence for an entire hauberk made from six in one mail. Consequently, there is no historical pattern to share. Here's a thread showing how typical 4:1 mail sleeves are sometimes tapered.

Thank you for the link and good point.
This looks like 6 in 1 mail to me. Down at bottom. http://silverwolf.lviv.ua/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5657
The mantle at the British Museum also includes a section of 6in1 one I think as well.

That's the Tiefenau fragment. Certainly 6:1 weave, from a Celtic hoard in Switzerland. No suggestion that an entire shirt was made in this manner from such a small piece is warranted.
Yep. We have examples of 6-in-1 mail but I can't think of anything to suggest that entire hauberks were made from it.
