Video of first ministers proposals
i realise that this will go to the Off Topic Forum, but for those intersted here is a link to the video of the First ministers proposals to ban sword in Scotland.
People are begining to come togethr a bit more here,i am trying to get intersted parties to register their interest with the excutive and be allowed to take an active part in the Public consulation.The paper is due early next year for a more accurate picture of exactly what we are up against here.;

Hey Rob,

Good to see you here. I've been meaning to shoot you an email. With the yishvish the minister is currently spouting would you be in some serious trouble if it were to become law? Could you still sell your stuff in the states? Would you consider a move?
checking it out m8
Hi Russ,
sorry i fell out of touch, things have been busy here.I am trying to get a website up and running for petitioners to visit and sign in.This is a very serious issue for us here, there seems to be some support from MSP Jamie Mc Grigor,a few heads are begining to pop out of the sand.

No worries I totally understand guy. Good luck with your efforts we are watching anxiously. Sadly it seems that you are swimming against the tide.
Rob,
I'm really sorry to hear about your troubles. I couldn't believe it when he said there is no legitimate reason for people to have a sword in their home. Kind of close minded if you ask me. I was wondering if you have access to the actual language of the proposed law? I would really like to see what it says.

no actual document just yet Benjamin,it is due some time in the New year.
Hi All,
from sitting through the video it seem's these chap's are looking at taking the easy way out,
ie, banning swords is obviously so much easier to police in general,
the argument of what length of blade makes a real sword, leading on to how concealable a sword actually would be,
the fact it states numbers from 2002, are the crime numbers noticably lower in any other year, would it look less of a problem if they quoted figures from 01 or 03,

Would the budget overspend on the new parliment building have halfed these numbers if they had put the millions towards policing instead ?.
Would the new parliment chaps consider a six month ban on alcohol to see the effects on the crime figures,
Just some rambling thought's,

An Englishman arguing that the Scot's should have the right to bear arms,
No doubt could have cost me my tongue in another century,

Keep us updated Rob,

Best,
Lee.
