Looks like one of the swords from the "Final Fantasy" video games. Variants of that monstrosity has been around for a few years. Myself, I would rather buy a shovel and call it a sword...

Let's not get into the habit of posting photos of fantasy swords and picking them apart. This habit is all too common on other sites, serves no purpose, and alienates an entire audience of collectors that go for the fantasy stuff. It often ends up being highly elitist and really doesn't help our goals for this site.

I'd also like to avoid posts that simply contain a link and nothing more. If you're going to make a new topic, at least wrap it in some sort of context and start a discussion about it, please.

Yeah, that's supposed to be a replica of Cloud Strife's "Buster" sword from Final Fantasy VII...

Hey, neat! And it even has the slots for materia. Now I just need to find some...

For what it is, the only thing I might nitpick about is its "practical" status. But then, they admit that its best application would be for building muscle, like a suburi bokken. At thirteen pounds, what else could you possibly do with it? I'd suggest hanging it on a wall, but it might rip the nail right out.

I have to admit though, my inner twelve year old is tempted, like when I see a Klingon bat'leth for sale.

It isn't good to grow up too much. Razz

Sam, whack that inner kid when it looks at the bat'leth. My inner child took control briefly and I'm
now the not-so-proud owner of a bat'leth. But what can I expect for $35. Wink

Oh, I have far too many good weapons on my wish list to actually listen to the little brat. I just let him out to have a look and a giggle every now and then. The last time was a Ruroni Kenshin Sakabato about six months ago. Again the inner twelve year old popped up, but my desire to one day own a traditionally forged katana, plus the embarrassment that I know I'd feel explaining to people, "Well, it's from this anime cartoon..." made me see the wisdom in smacking him down hard. Big Grin

Maybe I'm just getting old, but ever since earning my paycheck began to include the possibility of death, I've just become a bit more careful with my money. Worried
