Is it possible to post a picture of the complete inlay?
It's obviously too late for this sword, but I'd be interested to see what part Oakeshott put in Records.

This could be the perfect sword repro from that age! What a treat.

My copy unfortunately is falling apart, some of the pages have come completely loose from the binding. Many more are starting to come loose as well.

Mine is disintegrating as well. Apparently the publisher went with the rat-tail tang of bookbinding.

Great sword, do you have stats you can share?

Overall Length
Blade Length
Blade Width
Crossguard Width
Grip Length
Weight

Do you know how the stats compare to the original?

Thanks

Danny

Taylor, any chance you can post the full stats of your reproduction?

Sure mate.

Overall Length - 84cm
Blade Length - 69cm
Blade Width (near cross) - 4.5cm
Crossguard Width - 13cm
Grip Length - 10cm
Weight - don't have scales, but I'd guess its about 900 grams.

I know the original blade length (as per Records of the Medieval Sword), so Jeff extrapolated the other dimensions from that measurement. I doubt they are an exact match, but it looks very similar in profile.
