Migration Era bandhelm replica
A new product from Royal Oak Armoury - a bandhelm, modelled on a 5th-7th century (Migration era) example in a private collection, which is representative of its type. Central European bandhelms and some spangenhelms from this era often share the tall round silhouette, and the distinctive clustering of small rivets.

Shown in 16 gauge steel, with a rough-from-the-hammer finish. It is provided with a long deerskin chin-tie, and could be fitted with a goatskin liner and period-specific buckle.

The bandhelm has been added to our product line, but the prototype is available immediately for $150 + shipping. When lined or worn with padding it will fit a head of 23-24.5" diameter.

Questions and comments welcome.
