Hello all, I have an Albion Allectus which is crying for a historically correct scabbard. I do not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a custom job, so searching through the forums I have come to the understanding that the old Mainz deepeka scabbard (AH4209) would fit the Albion. The problem is that it looks a little cheezy to my taste. Now, deepeka has made a new version of the Mainz (AH2005), with a pretty good looking scabbard. Does anybody know if this new version would fit the Allectus?

Otherwise, are there other options to find a decent scabbard for this sword?

Cheers!

Well, I have a couple first-generation Albion gladii, a Fulham and a Mainz pattern, which fit in the appropriate Deepeeka scabbards quite well. However, as noted these are first-gen swords, and I don't know how much dimensional variance there is from those to the later generations....

Thanks. I will contact Albion to see if they changed their blades a lot from their first gen to the latest models.

You can also have a scabbard commissioned for from one of the premium scabbard makers who post on this forum if finding an existing one out there proves fruitless.
