Thanks! That worked much better.

I noticed them mentioning a light armor division. I'm mostly interested in the High Middle Ages (12th-13th centuries) so I was wondering if that meant a mail jousting division. I'd love to be able to joust in mail - not so keen on the full plate harness.
Lloyd , theres some absolutely brutal hits in that vid !A few folks weren't moving after the horse stopped running . That was very cool .
Hi Allan,

We aim to please  Even at the cost of our own bodies  (like Rod's motto: Jousters - the few, the proud, the insane!)
Great video! I especially liked the use of O Fortuna. Makes me kind of sad that my appie was never big enough to joust with.
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Hey Lloyd where can I get a good jousting saddle?
I dunno, how about.... Blankenshield!!! :p

Somebody hurry up and say it again! It's said that his name is actualy an invocation, and wouldn't it be great to have him around??? XD

Joking aside, you could do a hell of a lot worse than www.historicenterprises.com Jeff and Gwen Hedgecock are a pleasure to deal with, and the level of research the put into all their work is most impressive.
I was fortunate enough to be at the Mobile Ren fest in Mobile, Alabama last year. The jousting there was awesome! I believe one of those guys if not both were on that video. Neither was unhorsed that day, though one got his bell rung pretty good. If you haven't seen a joust live you are missing out. The war horses these guys use truely "thundered down the field". You could literally feel the ground shake. It was well worth a 4 + hour drive.
You guys know what........ That video was good, but there is N O T H I N G like being there.

Look for us in June, And again in October!!
I will have to agree with Bob. Just Doesn't compare to seeing it Live.

I for one can not wait for June and going to see and work at Shane's Dragons Lair Tourney. Just can't wait.

Lloyd I think that the Home video you have shows that Double Dehorsing With Rod and ? (can't remember who you said the other jouster was) way better. Your video has the perfect angle to show them both be just EJECTED from the saddles and launched over or through the list poles! No matter how many times i See it, I am always amazed!

BTW Lloyd, Any word on when Shane is getting here for the week? Before or after Thanksgiving?

When you find out Give me a call or leave me a PM here Please. I need to get more info about DL from him.
Cool video, Lloyd! Boy, those lances bow when they hit sometimes, don't they? Hard to see that from the ground, stuff happens too fast. A couple of weeks ago I went down to Fresno to hang out with Clif Bassett and his Dad, and to watch the new Balsa tips they're using for shows. VERY nice! Those things just shatter into a bunch of pieces and it looks spectacular... plus nobody hit the ground, which for a show is a handy thing! For some reason, the older I get, the further away the ground seems to get.

Cheers,

Gordon
