16th C. demi-gauntlets
I have recently reproduced a pair of German demi-gauntlets, c.1510, based on artefacts A256, A257 in the Wallace collection, London. They are lined with deerskin gloves, and can be produced to fit any size of hand that I can buy gloves for.

I had the practitioner of Western Martial Arts in mind when adding this to my product line, because these gauntlets offer considerable freedom of movement (they articulate on slotted rivets), and can be worn with a minimum of additional armour without looking out-of-place.

Your questions and comments are most welcome!

How well protected would your fingertips be when the hand is closed around a sword hilt in gauntlets like these?
