Need help identifying a sword
Hey everyone,

My good friend, David had given me a call, stating he had found a sword barried in the ground in the basement of the new house he had purchased and he had told me the balance was very good. He was wanting to take some scotch brute to it and told him "NO!" Seen too many people do that and have seen lots of items decrease in value...

So I'd like to hear what people think of it and maybe over suggestions to help restore it correctly. By the way this sword was found in Kansas in the US ;)

Thanks in advance!

Please post some better photos, best taken outdoors, with close-ups of the hilt. As for now it appears to be an old wall-hanger.

Yeah I had asked him to send me better photos in the sunlight...Just posted this one real quick. More to come soon
Hard to tell without better photos, but, looks like wallhanger to me too - the way guard looks seems rather suspicious for a real weapon...
