Derp, sorry Scott, I apparently was not paying attention to the posts. Mind you it was my buddies house warming so yeah. Anyhow, i suppose what i meant before i somehow got sidetracked was I was going to thank you for slowing down and explaining so much to me. The swords comment was not intended for you, but somehow it got put in there. Like i said, buddies house warming.

Actually everyone has been very helpful, I've learned so much about swords, I've read the majority of the articles, since i've joined ive probably been on this site for at least an hour a day reading something, browsing posts, and really try to take it all in.

I wish there was some online quiz i could take to test my sword knowledge after all of this, it would have been cool to see how much i thought i knew, vs. how much i've learned already and so on.

Hi,

I bought that one awhile back and sold it. The pommel has a fake peen block and is one piece. The false peen block was crooked on the one I received. The blade on mine thickened the last 4-5 inches at the tip and could not be sharpened. Sharpening on the sword was rough and required some work to smooth out.

Other than the above issues, it was alright.

2-handed and the weight was right at 4 lbs.

I noticed this problem with this one while doing a re-grip and scabbard/suspension for a customer awhile back:

It was a pretty hefty sword, but I am used to lighter Type XIIas. If I recall, the PoB on it was around 6" or so. The whole attached peen block/pommel thing threw the aesthetics off for me personally. It just looks odd. If you can save a bit more and go with the A&A version, you'd be happier.
