seems to be a little trend with Saxon culture lately bouncing around here that's been sparking my interest. (fullered spear heads, migration swords, their art work in general) what made saxon culture different from other migration era people say like the vandals, Lumbards, or what remained of the Celts.

i know that they were resistance to the Franks and christian culture Charlemagne, had a heck of a time to keep them in order and had to execute a bunch of them to keep them in line.

it may be too broad a question and someone can point a book out for me - i'm looking for what influences that were present in saxon culture that made a person a saxon from the early migration years to later once they were established in england.
