Congratulations Dan, is it available from a North American source ? I guess one can order it directly from the U.K. publisher and I will have to check out how that works and if they take Paypal ?

This book is required reading and there WILL be a test! Didn't know you were writing a textbook, did you, Dan? REALLY looking forward to it!

ill definately look out for it when it hits australian shelves
when can i expect to see it in bookshops in sydney assuming it hasnt already been rolled out.

and i wonder/ hope that abbeys bookshop in sydney will stock it eventually
itll be good to have the book as a general guide to weapons and warfare in that general context and ill be glad because i KNOW itll be pretty accurate.

(one book i found, 'the atlas of weapons', had a picture of a 17th century polish zichagge and the caption read that it was a conical helmet similar to those used at hastings... :wtf: :wtf: )

I wrote it on contract for the publisher. Don't know about distribution. Amazon had it available for pre-order last year so I suppose that it will be available in other countries. No idea about ebook format.

Pen and Sword Books take Paypal, they charge £7.00/item with a minimum £14.00 shipping charge, so I figured what the heck and ordered two copies. I've been keeping an eye out for this for some time and went looking for it as soon as I saw that Dan had changed his avatar. Congratulations Dan, I expect this book will be very useful.

Sometimes, I'll admit, I just scan threads for Dan's posts..... Definitely buying this book.
