The portrait of the black guy that Sean posted up really intrigues me.

It looks to be around 1480/1500 and the guy is clearly very well off, but do we know anything about who he was and where he was and what he was doing?

Good guess. That is, if I remember correctly, a German painting of St. Maurice.
