Marston Moor
Today (368 years ago) it commemorates the Battle of Marston Moor:
In 1644, Oliver Cromwell and his army of "Ironsides" defeat Charles I of England in the decisive battle of Marston Moor. Only a few sites on the West remained in royalist hands, and they fall in following year.

It is interesting to review this thread opened in 2005 by Gordon Frye: Dresden Cutting from Horseback

José-Manuel;

I'm glad that you enjoyed the thread on the Dresden. It's been quite a while since I've posted here, so it was nice to run into this thread of yours right off the bat when visiting again.

Per the Actions of the Lowe Countries event, we've managed to keep it going, and this past Spring enjoyed Actions of the Lowe Countries VIII, which was pretty nifty. Here is a link to the website for the School of the Renaissance Soldier, which is the parent organization for the event:

Of course the event is still supposed to be taking place in Flandres, so any Spaniards who wish to participate are more than welcome! :D

Thanks again for mentioning the thread, I had totally forgotten about it.

Cheers!

Thanks for the link. I'm working on my equipment for the fifteenth century, but it is still very incomplete.

As you all know in Spain we have many difficulties; as Spanish reenactors, the crisis can slow us, but can't stop us. We continue to improve thanks to Forums like this (myArmoury) and your advice. Thanks a lot.

Regards
