Some fine arts... have a good day!
Hi everybody!
Today I just want to share with you some picture that a friend of mine, an art lover, showed me:

The first is a scene of the Red Sea crossing, depicted by B. D'Antonio (Or C. Rossellini or D. Ghirlandaio) on the south wall of the Sistine Chapel in Rome (1481-2): there are some good examples of contemporaneous arms and armour.

The second is a detail from a Caravaggio's painting, "Davide con la testa di Golia" (David with Goliath's head), 1609-10: the sword inlay says: "H-AS OS", "Humilitas Occidit Superbiam".
The "S" is reversed, and looks similar to snake in the Author's "Madonna dei Palafrenieri" (1605):

That's all!
Have a good day!!!

The detail from Caravaggio's painting. The snakes near the blade are added, like some other things!

I'm not sure what type of sword Caravaggio's David has in his hand... the blade looks like a XVII one...
