horn nocks
im currently learning how to make selfbows and i was wondering how thick do horn nocks have to be on 110lbs+ bows so that it doesn’t compromise the strength of the bow.
I'm not sure but would be interested if you learn and also if your in America where your getting your yew I was lucky enough to find A piece of Pacific yew that someone foolishly cut the sap would off of sometime in the 1960's and it made a very handsome laminated English style war bow no nock's though its not 110 lbs, mine's 90 lbs at 27 inches I'm pretty proud say that I can pull about 14 times in a row and hit my target, good for my shoulder my doctor tells me. I am sorry this doesn't answer your question but it might get the ball rolling so to speak.

Im unsure of this as well, but saw that there is a guy on Ebay selling horn nocks pre made. He is in Hungary, and the price of them plus shipping is MUCH cheaper than the ones 3 Rivers Archery sells.
