Simple hand-sax in the style of the Carolingian Era.
The flat-ground 6-1/4 inch long blade is selectively hardened 5160 spring steel with a 'cannel' edge. The handle is Emboyna Burl wood. There is an intertwined figure of 'Jellinge' Beasts carved on either side of the handle. The scabbard is 8oz. vegetable-tanned leather dyed brown and is finished with a hand-rubbed Carnuba Wax finish with two riveted brass suspension loops.
