recently i have been reading George T dennis's book 3 byzantine military treatises, in particular the 6th century 'ananymous byzantine treaise on strategy' which contains tips for (among lots of other thing) training archers, in order to help archers increase the STRENGTH aka the power of their shots, the author proposes men compete against each other shooting at a special practice target

no diagrams are included in the treatise, but i asked my brother, an industrial design student and my friend a engineering student to read the passage nd to draw what they think it would have looked like the video details the results of my findings and how i think it would look.

to my surprise i also found out that another historian on the byzantines had also tried to figure it out and his result was the same as the one my friends had come up with.
