Iberian Swordplay Weekend

of the Sacramento Sword School

April 21 and 22, 2012 – two full days of swordplay!
at River Valley Complex, 605 S Main St, Leaf River IL (25 miles south-west of Rockford, IL)
$80 for either day; $140 for two full days after March 24: $100 either day, $200 both days


Two full days of swordplay

Saturday: the Spanish system called La Verdadera Destreza techniques for any sword held in one hand

Sunday: the Iberian greatsword Montante for battle, crowd control, and general mayhem

Presented as a violent and athletic tradition of swordplay, students will learn the science and the art of both La Verdadera Destreza and the Rules of the Montante.

This is a reminder that the registration fee for the Iberian Swordplay Weekend with Maestro Puck Curtis and Maestro Eric Myers at Gallowglass Academy (scheduled for April 21 and 22, 2012) goes up as of March 24, 2012.

As of now the fee is $80 for one day or $140 for both days. After March 24th the fees go to $100 a day and $200 for both days.

Having had the very great pleasure of working with Mr. Curtis at Swordplay 11 in Brisbane last year, I'd just like to say that anyone attending this is in for a great weekend... And you get Montante too, you lucky people!
