Slow motion cuts on 4" newspapers roll. This time the roll was pegged on the cutting stand.

Clearly Lancelot you need greater challenges! Oak trees, engine blocks, passing motorcyclists? Something like that!

Actually I found the Aquatherm pipe dealer in Hong Kong and planned to add a pipe or 2 inside the newspapers roll to mimick "bone effects" as Peter Johnsson suggested. However, the dealer only sells in a BIG BULK.... not the pipe was expensive but I don't have that much room to store them!

So maybe I'll have to look for some other substitutions. Cutting pork arms were fine, but pork arms were actually more difficult to cut than a living flesh and bone combination, due to the hardened bone after the cease of blood flow and too light the weight it has (being just a limb).

Lancelot, Maybe this isn't a good suggestion, you'll have to decide for yourself, but I was wondering if the heavy cardboard tubes carpet is rolled on would work for you?

Even ordinary cardboard is very abrasive, in fact one can use cardboard as a strop to wear off the wire edge when trying for a razor edge when sharpening.

So not too surprised that carboard can scratch a blade and even more so one that has metallic inclusions in the mix. :eek:

Wrapped newspapers on a white PP pipe and performed a combo-cut on the target. Then I cut the last part of the target with a left handed diagonal cut.
