Tolkien inspired sword IRONBEARD
I am huge fan of history and i admit i find many of the contemporary fantasy pieces dull.
But i belive that even in the past, some swords were made as artistic expressions, and so did my Ironbeard came to be

Thatsa beauty... :!:
I like the sword, looks great but I don't think the story behind the inspiration is particularly good. This sword doesn't say Arnor, it screams "Dwarves from the Iron Hill coming as reinforcements to the Lonely Mountain prior to the battle of the five armies."

Those broadswords mentioned in the Hobbit might just look like this. There was Thorins Map in the "Show us your creations" Thread a couple of days back, now this sword. 2012, the year of the Hobbit.
Also it's the 75th anniversary of the first publication of said novel, it all fits perfectly.

Exceptional Petr.
Well done brother! Love it! Great idea and even better execution.
The more I see of Petr's work, the more I like it! This sword is just COOL! Really exciting stuff you have done. I look forward to seeing more of your work... ;)
Nice backstory for the swords origin. Historically the Numenoreans were known to carry ekets which were short stabbing swords, as auxillary weapons so a refurbished dwarven blade that had been made for dwarven use would be of a scale to fill this role nicely.
I don't usually like fantasy swords but more swords like Ironbeard could make me change my mind. Ironbeard is wonderful in the full sense of that word.
I really love this sword, Petr! I found it on your site a few days before you posted and had to stare down the details for ten minutes or so to appreciate it even in the photographs. Too bad I probably won't be lucky enough to see it in person. Your work is inspiring, and I also happen to be a huge Tolkien fan! Bravo.

I would love to find some one interested in commissioning sword like that, i have couple of ideas already.
Thanks for your responses
Kaor, Petr! Great blade! It is simple in design and wonderfully embelished but not overdone and it just freaking works! Exactly the kind of sword a khazad warrior would carry if he were not using an axe or mattock. I wish I could afford for you to make any of my sword designs. Keep it up!
