I'm having a early small sword made for me by A&A based on an example in the RA http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/6553/leeds...210ox4.jpg

Now, I'm tempted to have a scrafe/sashe baldric made for it. A style I've seen before in sculpture but I can't find any paintiings depicting it. Has anyone seen anything similar

http://swordlinks.com/courtswords/p1.html

There are several actual methods of carrying the sword within the pages in the above link

A quick google search of paintings of royalty from the 1700s to 1800s should likely find a few as well

A&A makes awesome smallswords. Make sure to post the final product!
