Looking for images of 15th century archers.
Hello all,

I am looking for an image of a 15th century archer in battle. The important part is that I am trying to show how they were armoured. I am also looking for an image that is at least 750x750 pixels. Sadly the images I can find from Froissart are too small.

Thanks in advance.
When I'm not looking for archers they're plenty, but when I'm looking ? There are a few here from the 15thc. but I don't think they're quite the size you're looking for http://www.tforum.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=26252
http://herve.laine-bucaille.pagesperso-orange...archer.htm I've never seen a 15thc. sallet in this style with a full face visor with lames on the back. Would make a nice repro.
Archers from which end of the 15th century? Just like men-at-arms, their appearance changed rather dramatically over the course of the century, and the archers you'd find in the illustrations to Froissart or in the Grandes Chroniques du France(?) would definitely look very different from the ones you see in the Luzerner Chronik.
Here's an interesting image, I'd say mid to late 15th century in dating. Don't remember the sourcing so all credit where its due.

Regards.

I always think of the Beauchamp Pageant archers as being the classic English longbowmen of the WOTR era. More, from different periods, here: http://www.elisanet.fi/huikari/illumarcher.htm

Wow, thank you all so much. I really wanted to show how the average archer wears brigandine and most of the images show that.
Thank you all for your help finding these images. I needed some for my article for Medieval Warfare Magazine. My only problem is that I cannot find where the image posted by Nicholas A. Gaese came from. Does anyone have an idea?

That image is in The Great Warbow but I don't have that in front of me at the moment. Pretty sure those are Burgundian archers, though. The site I referenced captions that image "Master Wa, 1465-1485, Burgundian archers".
Thank you Sean.
