Pattern Welded Dagger off to Christian Fletcher for mounts
I just finished this custom pattern welded dagger for a customer that is having Christian Fletcher do the mounts. This is my first Pwelded blade to be mounted by someone else and I am excited to have Mr Fletcher as the one who is doing it.

1075 and 15n20 with a loose twist. Blade blank forged by Kerry and all the grinding and etching by me. Nice tag team effort on this one.

I will try to get better photos but its a weird over cast day and I am having trouble getting decent shots of it.
She has a ton of distal taper and feels powerful in the hand. She is about 16" from shoulder to tip. The fullers are all hand ground in by me.

I can't wait to see what Mr Fletcher will do with this one and hope to make more Pwelded blades for him to mount in the future! *hint* *hint*
Looks really neat. Be interesting to see the finished product.
This looks fantastic! I can't wait to see what I can do with it. It will be companion the dagger to a Scots themed single hand sword.
neat takes the words out of my mouth when i first saw it.

is this based off of an original pice or just someone's imagination?
The customer asked for a "colichemarde" dagger and this is what I came up with. I sketched a few ideas and he chose this shape.

I was inspired by several antique dueling daggers that a close friend of mine owns. Nothing directly though.

I think you will love it when you get it in hand. These pics dont do it justice.
Would seem that it would work well as a parrying dagger with the strong and wide ricasso depending on the style of guard used and period aimed for.

Like the Damascus pattern welding a great deal and I think we will be happy to see the finished dagger.
