I've had my English Cutler bollock dagger (single edge) and 15th-ish century purse for a week now. I'm not going to write a review, merely stating that the attention to detail is amazing and the feel of quality in the dagger is ... almost a religious experience. I don't think I will ever need another knife. I have a hard time understanding that the money I paid bought me this level of workmanship. I'm a fanboy and now I know where to put my spare cash. Thank you Leo!

Hehe, Indeed I should. My Norweeejun inclination lost that one in translation. Anyways, the only bollocks-y thing about Tod's dagger are the globules that make up the guard. They are actually very ergonomically carved and very pleasant to fondle ...

yeah, i think we all think that when we get a new one, but as time passes. it's like an itch you just have to give in a scratch eventually you get another

Always a good thing to maintain familiarity with one's " Equipment " and be well acquainted with it's features.

Yeah, this thread is worthless without photos!
I love my English Cutler rondel dagger, unfortunately I didn't take any good photos of it yet... Here's lying on the "Game of Thrones" next to the Albion Earl:
Cheap (150 pounds), cheap postage, quick delivery, but the product is anything but cheap looking. Sure it's not finished to perfection, and combination of relatively rough grinding and near mirror polish on top of it emphasizes the grind-marks... Maybe I will redo the finish with Scotch Brite, not sure yet. Anyway, construction is perfect, the blade is thick and stiff and wickedly pointy and sharp!

Some images here. The blade on this one is very thick as well. Feels incredibly solid. This is The English Cutler version so the finish is plain but I love it for it's utility tool look and feel. The purse has the same solid feel. They actually match as well.

Yeah I need to get me one of his rondel daggers. I have the misericord and I love it. I showed it off to some knifemakers and told them the price and they couldn't believe it. I mean honestly the scabbard was nice enough for the price of the whole package.
