The suspense is over. The winning name was 'The Savoy,' submitted by a young man named Trent who hasn't yet owned a proper sword. His collection has begun in a very charming way!
I hope he won't mind my cross-posting his message from the SBG forum:

Hey guys, Trent here. (contest winner)

I just want to say that I picked Savoy because I thought it had some logical historical connections to longswords/bastard swords themselves, and I also thought it sounded cool.

I am 20 years old, have never owned a real sword before (stainless steel wall-hangers don't count). This whole encounter has got me really stoked and I can't wait to get my hands on this work of art!

For color scheme I went with Antique Red handle, Antique Grey or Black scabbard (whichever is available), and Antique Red for the belt/straps.

Once I get the sword, I'll try to do a review of it for you guys with some pictures and stuff. Big Grin

Anyways, I'd really like to give my thanks to Sonny and the rest of the guys at the Custom Sword Shoppe for this opportunity. These community contests are a great thing! Well good luck to everyone in the future!
