Tinker Longsword thread pitch.
Anyone know off hand the thread pitch on the tinker longswords? IIRC it's 5mm . Is it M5x0.8? I'm thinking of building on some Tinker blades.
Someone should correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe the Tinker blades are actually threaded at 6mm metric (the standard in the fencing world). Maybe they take a 5mm allen wrench in the socket. I've bought 6mm allen nuts from fencing suppliers and used them to mount Hanwei-Tinker blades. I've used my own pommels, so I can't guarantee that any 6mm allen nut you buy will fit the holes in Hanwei-produced hilt parts.

Why not drop Tinker an email?
Those tangs peen well.
M6x1.0 inside hex nuts (used in fencing) take a 6mm allen wrench. I'll try Tinker. If they do use grip nuts, that would be great as I have scores of them.
