For Sale: Antique Priming/Powder Horn
This listing has been REMOVED and is no longer active

Hello all. A little while ago I started a thread in hopes of identifying a powder horn I purchased locally. I am fairly certain it is antique from the patina on the metal and the horn itself, beetle damage, and because it was still full of black powder.

The thread link is here, with pictures. I would be happy to take more pictures if you would like.

and I started one here as well:

While I haven't been able to get a positive ID on it, it seems that people in both threads feel it is at least 200 years old, possibly an artillery/cannon priming horn, or a hunting horn, or a shot horn, due to its relatively small size. Overall, following the outer curve the piece is 13 inches long. It is 3.25 across at the base, and around 1 3/8 inches thick. It does not taper distally. The viewing hole (in the tube) is 0.5 inches in diameter.

Unfortunately I do not have the time to get it properly appraised or identified due to my busy work schedule.

I would like to sell it for $150.00 plus shipping, and am open to offers.
