Victorian Wedding Saber
My latest custom commission: based on an Albion Vivamus blade. The guard piercings are hand cut and filed to form. The ambigram on the brass medallions was designed by the client, all other etching patterns are my original designs. The scabbard features my first attempt at a capped throat locket.

Overall, a very satisfying commission that compelled me to expand my ornamentation techniques (and tooling :) )

WEDDING SABER???

Mother of gawd, that's got to be one heck of a wedding cake.

The Vivamus is a pig. Mine weighs in at 3 lbs even.

How did you handle the hilt to compensate or not for that giant blade?

Seriously think you did a nice job with the hilt. The candy green furnishings...
Hmm...I was in such a rush to ship this in time for the wedding I didn't record the stats off of it. Sword, scabbard and belt together weighed in at 3.5 lbs.

I'll try to get the full stats for this sword from the client, once he's recovered from the wedding :)
Christian,

As always your attention to detail is spectacular. That is a sword fit for a royal wedding.

Matt

p.s. you're making it even harder to wait for you to start work on my sword :D
Beautiful. Got any more pics of this?

I was too impressed by the visual to actually read anything ;-)

Very nice work.
It is an interesting sword and I like seeing interpretations of later period swords. Thanks for sharing!
