Would anyone be so kind as to say how long of wire they use for a grip (about)? When EB Erickson says "really long" I am curious how long that is.
I keep using so much it gets tangled or not enough.
Thanks!!!

Zach,

I use a wire about 3 or 4 feet in length for a 6 strand nautical Turks head and I usually have plenty left. But I am probably using too much.

Eljay,

I have a question: How do you stretch the Turks head onto the handle? I used a jewelers ring stretcher at my friends shop and have found that it leaves a nice, tight braid. However, don't have one at home and I'm not sire how to go about it.

If it's loose, do you use epoxy or glue to hold it?
