John - thank you for your kind words, we are looking forward for your rapier order! Wink

Jeremy - We make fullers just closing the guard because our weapons are mostly used in full contact fencing, where the blade is most stressed near guard so its better to have blade thicker under guard. But its not a problem to make fuller extend into the guard if customer wishes it.

Now that is beautiful. I really like the aesthetic of this piece. Especially the "S" cross guard.

I ordered this custom 15021 from jan at lutel told him i wonted the 15021 but with a twist
i wonted a different handle wrap and custom blade that is sharp Type XVla .

I own 7 albions one of which is the Earl its an amazing sword
15021 handles as good as the Earl in my eyes even better, cuts flow smoothly, thrusts are clean, moving from guard to guard feels like the sword is apart of your arm !!!!!!!
This new long sword 15021 technology one of the nicest swords i own
weight , balance, handleing, are true to the smiths that made it
I wish i could find the words to express how truly amazing this sword is

Thanks gentleman of lutel

Jan,
Wow! That dussack is just amazing. I think this is probably the nicest reproduction of that particular sword I've ever seen. The original is such a unique and impressive piece. You have absolutely captured that sprit. Bravo!

Just for anyone who isn't familiar, here's the original Dussack/Dusagge/Sinclair Saber/Cutlass (the terminology seems a bit vague on these) from the Wallace Collection

Quote:
Dusägge
Unknown Artist / Maker
Hilt- Germany; blade- Italy, possibly
c. 1580 - c. 1590
Steel, blackened
Length: 78.7 cm
Width: 5 cm
Weight: 1.225 kg
Maker's mark: wedge-shaped
Incised mark: sickle mark, repeated
A715
European Armoury III

Matt - Thank you very much for your positive reactions! We also think dussack came out very well. Its not the exact replica but we put in it some of our style...
Also we decided (with customers permition) to add this weapon into our standard catalogue.

I received this last week and it was wonderfully packed, just as the whole experience with Lutel was a pleasant one. I am really looking forward to trying this one out.
