For Sale: Hod Hill Sword
This listing is marked SOLD and is no longer available

New, still has the original shipping oil, this replica of the Hod Hill Sword. This sword was found in Hod Hill in Dorset in the remains of a Roman camp. This is a reenactment sword and does not have a sharpened blade. EN45 is the UK reenactment standard in steel so I guess it would be used in this sword. It is a good working steel, not a pot metal type blade, With work, it should take the same edge a MRL sword would. So basically it is a Roman style Spatha with English styled furniture.
There is a great review on My Armory. http://www.myArmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t...t=hod+hill
You can get mine without VAT and the overly inflated shipping.

This would be just right for an impersonation of a Roman Auxicillary in the British Isles.

If there was really was an Excaliber, this is what it would have looked like.

Comes with a nicely made leather over wood core scabbard. Overall a nice sword of good quality,
