New to used viking 9th century sword
Just got my 9th century viking sword. Not bad you get what you pay for as was said by one of the forum members in the first thread that I started. The blade is nice sharp the fuller has clean edges. scabbard fits the sword but its fiberglass covered with leather. The pommel and guard are not homogenous they look like they are not solid castings I think they are a prefab assembly.

That being said I like it. I took it into the basement and did a little tweaking. I wanted it to look like it had been hanging at my side while I hit the surf and maybe cut a few shields in two.

I will use this sword for cutting and it has certainly cofirmed that the bug that bit me here has infected me for good.

First pic is before the second after..

Hanwei 9th century out of the box.
Tweaked.
Fuller darkened and pommel and guard seasoned. I gave it a name "draugr"
