Examples of early 14th century late 13th century plate armor
Does any one know of any surviving examples of plate arms, legs, elbows etc from this time period. I am trying to figure out a pattern for them. From what I can tell from the effigies a lot of them look rather simple without much complex shaping. For example like this one http://www.themcs.org/armour/knights/2006%20M...3%2020.jpg
As far as I'm familiar with the topic, forms were indeed rather rare and simple then.

This whole topic has many pictures, most have dating included in them, even though language's horribly non english. :D

Thanks Bartek there were some new images there I had not seen. And the more information I can find the better. :)
That one knight in one of the pictures has pretty much complete front part of the legs armored, quite advanced if that's a 13th century painting...
Here is an early 14th century one that shows the shape well. http://www.themcs.org/armour/knights/2007%20M...t%2035.JPG
Oh and here is one from 1240 http://www.themcs.org/armour/knights/Wells%20...%20621.JPG

Not sure about this one after looking at it again.
