I stumbled across the following while doing a search for swords at the Metropolitan Museum.

I thought everyone might be interested in getting some more information about this sword:

PS - Does anyone know how to get to more of the journals from the Met in PDF format?
The following don't work and doing a brief search of the Met's site doesn't seem to come up with anything either:

I found this on the Met's site, a list of all the PDF documents associated with Arms and Armour:

The old issues (i.e., up to 2007 at the moment) of all of the Met journals are available via JSTOR. Access is by subscription only (and the Met journals are AFAIK only available via instiutional subscription), so you might want to check if your local university library has a subscription.

Thanks Danny for that bibliography of stuff published by the Met. I got into it OK and found a lot of really interesting material on armour, swords and firearms.
