I have this friend (yes, I heard that before also ) who is the present owner of a Henckels dagger. The markings on the blade are "U.M. 1.26" and "Solingen". It also has some hunting scenes on the blade also. Below are two images (sorry for the poor quality).

He and I would like to further indentify the knife, time period of manufacture and approximate value if possible. My limited research is that it may be an early 1900;s hunting blade. The Henckels trade mark is the twins with the 90 degree arms on them.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
