new Broadsword of Prussian dragoons, M1734
Hi there!

I just made a new broadsword for Prussian dragoons (M. 1734) for my friend from german gragoon reenactment.
Blade lenght: 86 cm
length: 103 cm
weight: 1.3 kg
Pictures at: http://www.nielo-sword.com/fotogalerie/broadsword-pallasch/

It was a lovely work, because friend I made it for lended me the original so I could make a precise wooden model.
It was a pleasure to have the original broadsword in my hands, because I´ve always admired this weapon (but only in the museum, until then :-) I thank my dear friend H. for that !

Similar broadsword was used russian army, relly nice original pieces can be seen in army museum in Leeds & Copenhagen, Denmark.

Hi Michael,

I am not sure how I missed seeing your work in the past but this one and other examples from your site look quite nicely done. It is always great (I am sure) that you have had originals to handle or just see through display but there is a small sector that are going to appreciate these late modern swords such as this Prussian Broadsword.

Well done!!

GC
Glan, I´m glad you like our work, thanks for your comment. The 18th C. is „the matter of my heart“ J, but we also make weapons from other periods as medieval times, rennaissance, viking-age, etc..
We´ve been working on the naval sabre from the 16th century and the sword of Philip II (Spain, the 16th C.) at the moment.
The pics will follow soon.
Cheers, Michal
What a wonderful re-creation! Modern-made custom military swords are quite thin on the ground. It is nice to see one such pattern reproduced so nicely. Thank you for posting.

Jonathan
Very good reproduction. Do you supply scabbards with your swords? If so, do you have pictures?
